Visa Application Fees
To apply for a visa, you must pay both the visa fee and the TLScontact service fee.

Visa fee – collected on behalf of the Consular Authority to process your visa application. This fee must be paid at the visa application centre by card.

Service fee – collected by TLScontact for receiving and processing your visa application. This fee must be paid online.
Important: Payment of the visa fee is mandatory unless you qualify for a fee exemption.
Payment of the visa fee and the TLScontact service fee does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. Both fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if your visa application is refused by the Consular Authority or if you withdraw your application.

* The visa fee, only collectable in NGN and by Credit/debit card (no cash accepted), may change as a result of currency fluctuation. Applicant should provide the exact amount, no exchange are available in TLScontact centre.
The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in NGN and an by Credit/debit card (no cash accepted). The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Consulate and is updated periodically, therefore the amount you are requested to pay may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in NGN.
The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is NGN 19,200.00 (payable only in NGN and by Credit/debit card (no cash accepted)).This amount has been decided in agreement with the General Consulate of Italy in Nigeria and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
The following categories do not have to pay the visa application fees :
- Short stay for children under six years old;
- Italian citizen’s spouse;
- EU citizen’s family (Spouse, parents, children);
- For family members (spouse, children, parents, grandparents, grand children) of Georgian nationals who are legally residing in Italy (on the submission of the proof of the family relationship and copy of the Italian resident permit of the family member living in Italy):
- Direct descendants under the age of 21 or dependent and those of the spouse or partner;
- Direct dependent ascendants and those of the spouse or partner.
- Applicants officially invited must submit an official invitation letter, duly signed and stamped by the inviting organization. They are invited for business/event purposes by the following organizations: ILO (International Labour Organization); IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development); FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization); ETF (European Training Foundation); IAM BARI (Istituto Agronomico Mediterraneo di Bari); Other United Nations organizations.
Please note that satisfactory proof will have to be submitted to establish that one of the above exemptions applies.
